We have a fun topic today which in our opinion is the most important aspect of a
wedding, the photographer! It is really important to find a photographer
whose style you like and knows exactly what you yourself are looking for in
your wedding pictures. Today we will be talking about some things to look for in
your photographer and some important questions to ask. So let’s dig in shall
we?
Make sure when you’re finding a photographer, you look
at many photographers. Don’t just look at one and fall in love, make sure there
isn’t someone else with a style that suits what your looking for better. Also,
unless they themselves are actual wedding photographers, don’t let any family members
be your official photographer. The pictures won’t come out as great as a
professional photographer. Just because you have a nice camera and Photoshop
does not make you a photographer, so please keep that in mind! Once you have
narrowed it down to two or three photographers you like, that’s when you will
meet with them. When you meet with them, make sure to ask a lot of questions!
When you meet with the photographers, make sure to bring a
list of shots you want taken. Whether you want all staged or all candid, or a
mix of both, make sure you let them know your preference. Some photographers are better
with candid while others are better with staged photos. Something else to ask is
if they will be the only person or bringing in an assistant. This would be
helpful so they can capture the moment you both see each other for the first
time when you are walking down the aisle. This way a beautiful moment the
photographer missed is a moment the assistant was able to capture. Also be sure
to ask them how you will receive your pictures, if you will be given a high
resolution DVD or if it will be regular pictures. One last thing, taking
pictures can be a little nerve wracking on such a big day because you want the
picture to come out looking beautiful. Be sure to ask how the photographer
keeps you guys feeling calm and just making it fun for the both of you and the
whole bridal party.
