Bridal Shower Blast

Written by Decadent Details Events Assistant, Hailey Perry

Every party no matter how large or small, comes with a certain amount of planning! Although one of our favorite things is the details of planning and designing the Wedding Ceremony and Reception...the other parties which will happen during your engagement deserve as much attention to detail!  One of our favorite parties, is the Bridal Shower! In fact, if you had an opportunity to attend the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show on Sunday, February, 17, 2013 you were able to see our Sweet Pink & White Bridal Shower Table Scape! The Bridal Shower is a perfect time to celebrate the Bride & Groom! We have compiled a list of tips throwing a successful and fun bridal shower.

Think Theme...

Whether you are planning a nice evening dinner or an energetic luncheon, think theme first. You can make decisions on invitations, decorations, games, and food all around the theme of your event. Do you want to host a romantic or contemporary night for guests? Or would you rather choose from some of the couple’s interests. There are various ways to individualize the party.

Think Decor...

After deciding on your theme, begin thinking about the decorations you will need. Will you need to hire someone to come in and decorate? Will you be renting tables, chairs, etc. or will you be throwing a backyard summer bar-be-cue? All of this needs to be taken into consideration when planning for your guests.

Think Games...

Bridal shower games are a great way to introduce and mingle with out-of-town guests. There are many affordable and DIY bridal shower games to make the day festive. If you are thinking of doing a co-ed or just ladies shower, games can be tailored to incorporate all of your special guests. Games provide a nice relaxing feel to the wedding process and allows for your guests a chance to meet the other side of the family.

Think Food...

How many guests are you inviting to the bridal party? What kind of food are you wanting to serve? A sit down meal, an outdoor grill out, or casual appetizers? Think about guest preferences and how much you want to spend to feed everyone at the shower. You can coordinate your food with the theme to give the party a complete feel.

No matter your decision on theme, decorations, games, and food, keep in mind that the afternoon or night is a celebration of the bride and groom’s marriage.  Take the time to incorporate exciting ways to show your happiness with the new couple.  Whether you decide to plan the details yourself or hire a professional to help...Celebrate their interests with all of their closest friends and family.
Cheers! To the Bride and Groom!
