Accessorize!

Written by Decadent Details Events Assistant, Hailey Diane Perry

Bridal jewelry can be a hard decision for brides to make. Should you go traditional? Should you wear pearls? Should you wear your grandmother’s necklace? Here are our tips and ideas on making your choice of accessories easy:

1. Decide where you need to dress up your look.

2. Decide on a style and stick to it.

3. Too much, can be a bad thing.

4. A touch of color creates a finished look.

If you are looking for a subtle way to dress up your veil, or you are not wearing a veil, consider wearing a subtle hair comb to give your up-do a more complete look. It is the perfect way to add jewelry without crowding up your neckline or face.

If a hair comb is not your taste, you can wear the up-and-coming “head band” look to polish your hair.  The head band can add t he perfect romantic touch to a simple dress.  It also helps keep your hair in a great form for the duration of the big day.

Hair pins are another way to dress up your hair do.  They can accompany a veil or be the sole accessory for a bridal up-do.

Looking to add a little color to your choice of jewelry?  These earrings add the perfect amount of color to any elegant wedding look.

The necklace is usually what brides struggle with. The best way to make your decision is to be sure the necklace you choose does not clash with the neckline of your dress or overpower the rest of your gown.

For most gowns, a bracelet can be a simple touch. If you are wearing a long sleeved or three quarter length sleeve beware that a bracelet might overpower your look.

A combination of a few of these suggestions may be exactly what you need to polish your wedding look.  A simple pair of earrings might ac cent your eyes, or a stunning comb might give you that elegant look you are hoping for.  Enjoy trying on some beautiful jewelry to find precisely what is perfect for you.
